2. Collection and Processing of Data

When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits information that is stored in server log files. This includes: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request, and IP address. Beyond the aggregated, non-identifying statistics described in section 7, this data is not merged with other data sources.

3. Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the form, including the contact information you provide, will be stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

4. Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter (footer, event signup, or optionally when purchasing a ticket), we store your email address, the time of your consent, and the source of your subscription. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Swiss nDSG). Delivery is handled by Resend (Resend, Inc.) as a data processor.

You may withdraw your consent at any time — via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by email to info@undrstnd.ch. After withdrawal, we will no longer use your address for newsletter purposes.

5. Data Processors

We use the following service providers: Vercel (website hosting and delivery), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Mapbox (address suggestions). They process data only on our instructions and in compliance with applicable data protection law.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies in some cases. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. They help us make our offering more user-friendly and effective. You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis. Our website statistics (section 7) do not use cookies and do not track you across websites.

7. Website Statistics

To understand how our events and tickets are found, we keep our own simple statistics. We record page views, interactions with the ticket selection, and whether a checkout was started or completed, together with the country and city derived from your IP address and the website or campaign that referred you.

These statistics are anonymous. We do not set cookies for this purpose and we do not store your IP address. To distinguish visits without identifying anyone, your IP address and browser are converted into a one-way value using a secret key that changes every day; this value cannot be reversed or linked across days, and we never combine it with your name or email. We use this data solely to measure the reach and performance of our own events, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 31 FADP). Records are deleted after twelve months.

8. Embedded Content

Our website embeds content from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited). When you visit a page with embedded YouTube videos, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. YouTube is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube may associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile.

9. Your Rights

Under Swiss data protection law (DSG) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, and data portability regarding your stored personal data. Contact us at info@undrstnd.ch.

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time to reflect current legal requirements or changes to our services. The updated policy applies on your next visit.
